The search is conducted to locate all Cuban identical or similar trademark applications / registrations to the mark you ask us to search for the classes of goods and / or services specified in your order letter.

Searches are carried out using the records available at the Cuban Industrial Property Office (CIPO).

These records contain:

a) national Trademark applications / registrations
b) International trademark applications / registrations designating Cuba.

There is usually a delay of 1 – 2 months between the filing of a trademark application and its being entered in the Office’s database. Therefore, recently filed applications may not appear on the search outcome. The records compiled by the Office contains errors and omissions. Any errors or omissions in the records compiled by CIPO may result in relevant marks not appearing on the search.

Applications claimed convention priority of six months may also not appeared on the search.

Searches can be prepared and obtained in 5 – 7 working date.
